Submitted on 10/7/2016 Review title of QLove Letter to CastlevaniaUnepic is a truly fun game. It's as if the developer wanted to create his own sequel to the Castlevania franchise. The game has RPG elements and quite a bit of backtracking. Unepic also has side quests, which are usually fun but predictably repetitive. It is fully voice acted, and it's pretty well done. A lot of humour and some cheesey pop culture parodies that are fun to see. However, the final battle is terrible. The game breaks from its standard gameplay and adds an unskippable odd two-person mechanic, where you are forced to play as a new character, as well as switching back to your regular protagonist, all within a time limit based final fight. The ending pulls you away from an otherwise captivating experience and makes finishing the game you have spent hours enjoying, into a chore.

All in all, a very fun classic Castlevania-themed game, ruined by poor game ending design choice.
