This is a 3D beat-em-up style game in which you get to play as heroes from the Marvel universe. The gameplay is decently fun, and the game presents two main objectives for you to accomplish: finishing the story, and collecting/leveling your characters. Personally, I find the latter more fun.

The array of characters isn't very wide yet, but the game is constantly expanding, having added Ant Man characters (including Wasp, one of my favorite characters to use) and Secret Wars characters and costumes with their latest updates. Strangely, there are no mutants in it at all.

One great thing about this game is that, unlike the horror that is Contest of Champions, FF allows you to target specific characters rather than draw them out of a hat. There is still some randomness in things like ally shifters but it's very manageable, allowing you to slowly but surely work your way toward the character you actually want.

The only real problem I have with the game is the completely outrageous price of in-app purchases. The only times anything seems worth paying is when things are on sale.
