Jagged Alliance 2 1.13 ModThis Mod is from:The Jagged Alliance 2 '1.13 Mod' is an engine modification to the original JA2. Among many other changes, the AI has been vastly improved, a new difficulty level, windowed mode, support for resolutions up to 1024x768, a New Inventory system, and much of the data has been externalized. The mod does not change the original maps or storyline.Key features can be read by going to the homepage wiki, but here is a rundown:AI: They'll out flank you, and climb the rooftops to come after you or to kill you from a distance with Sniper Rifles.Externalized Data: Enemy patrols, Movement costs, shopkeepers, army compositions, garrisons, and more has been externalized. The major feature here, is item externalization.

The original game was limited to 350 different items, that cap has been removed and all item data has been externalized. Now, there are over 1000 different items in the game, and many of those are weapons.JA2Options.ini: The options file for the non-modder (Current release also includes an INI editor to simplify things even further).

This file contains options to control many different aspects of gameplay and speacial features. Here, you set how many IMP's you're allowed to hire, whether or not AIM Mercs die while on assignment elsewhere, the detail level of enemy soldier information available to you, how fast militia are trained, whether or not you can train them to move about freely, and how often you want to experience weather in the game.

For a complete list, you'll have to check out the ini file.New Inventory System: The New Inventory System uses LBE's (Load Bearing Equipment) to expand and change your merc's Inventory. Standard equipment slots now include a Gun Sling, and a Knife pocket in addition to the normal Armor and Face Item Slots. All other equipment slots depend on various different vests, thigh rigs, and backpacks that you can pickup or buy. The system may seem complicated at first, but many visual indicators help you to know where you can and can't put your gear. The new inventory system allows you to carry a wider variety of equipment, but in some cases less quantity than the original inventory system. The original 12-slot inventory is still available, and you can choose between both systems when starting a new game.Bobby Ray's: Bobby Ray's now has many different filters and sorting options, and there are 4 levels of gear you can choose from when you start a new game, they range from Normal to Awsome level where all items are available at BR's from the beginning.

A great way to try out those hard to find favorite weapons.Other features include:- Weather effects, rain messes with your aim, and Lightning can reveal your position in nighttime combat!- Full Auto-Fire in addition to Burst and single shot weapons.- Chance To Hit indicator above the targeting cursor.- NEW M.E.R.C. Originally posted by:i tried myself on win 10 seems to be some troubles. I tried without and with 1.13 patch and got several errors. After like 10 different tries with different settings i finaly made the game start without error but end up crashing after intro now:D.even turning off the intro or windowed mode didnt help to stop crash after starting game.Wildfire seems still to run on win 10.Gold i didnt got to run it without crashing no matter what i tried. Maybe i try more later some day^^ In 1.13 there's a compatibility file and instructions for running in windows 10 in the /docs/ folder.I'm playing on windows 10 right now thanks to it.So are you running it as with no lag or slow-mo or crashing? @Xcorps have you had a problem with helicopter refueling?

JA2 Stracciatella v0.12.352-macos Mod Posted about 4 years ago; 3 downloads; This is an unofficial patch for Jagged Alliance 2. It tries to fix bugs, modernize and make compatible with a wider range of Operating Systems.

I can't make Skyrider refuel. I had the alternative fuel system turned off so I didn't think it should be an issue but he has used up all his fuel and won't refuel even though he's at Drassen airport. I've tried saving then game then turning on the alternative fuel system to see if that trigger a refuel but it didn't. Can see resupply runs being very tedious if I don't get it fixed.I'm on the latest version I believe; Release 7435: 25 October, 2014 (Build: 7609)edit: not the latest build apparently xD ofc when i Google 'ja2 1.13' the top link is out of date:/ I guess I'll try the newest version and hope my savegame doesn't get broken. Stu,I've had a few problems with the helicopter but not refueling. Mainly when trying to travel with 2 vehicles at the same time and the occasional CTD when I try to load a full squad at once.Did you accelerate time? There's usually about an hour of lag time from when he arrives to when he lands.Silly question but are you sure he's on Drassen Airport (above the words refueling point) and not above the middle Drassen square( the one below the words refueling point).

I did this more than once.Have you tried making him wait until he flies himself back to the airport? Originally posted by:Does this game with this 1.13 mod run on windows 10?I have the gog version and ran slow as gravy, after trying to install the mod - i just got a blank screen on load with music. Just wondering if the Steam versionis any easier to get working so it plays normally.Change in ini Editor the resolution to 800x600 that solves the slow issue.its still kinda slow but faster then on 1024x7xx.In the End i decided to play the JA 2 1.12 Vanilla Version cause this runs flawless on win 10 and completly lagg Free no slowing ingame.JA 2.12 with win 8 Fix which is in the 1.13 update doc folder and renaming the intro.slf.I tested it and it rly runs without any slowing or crashes on win 10.

Well, if I remember correctly, the game in v113 has a slightly shorter scale. See in the original, the later rifles especially with scopes became overpowering. So make sure you read all the stuff on that site, it explains the rationale for everything. So at first shooting at more than say 13 hexes, I think it is, is pretty hard to do.

Especially with a pistol. What they did was make sure that longer ranged stuff takes more action points to shoot. Aiming takes time also, per each level of aim. I haven't played in a while, though I'm hoping to continue a game soon.Anyway. All I can tell you is that I've never tried it on Windows 10, but I did on Windows 7, where it works fine. But I have Direct X 9.0c installed, and I have Vsync on.

May work or not for later OS's, but I believe those will help. Also beyond 1024x768 is probably not going to work. Just discovered something that I did not know. Seems that JA2 v1.13 mod is actually still being developed, but the website for the old Stable builds is not being updated in kind. Now, these builds are Unofficial Development Builds, supposedly mostly stable, and they've been going on now for several years.Another thing I didn't know, but the old Bear Pit, a website that was mostly posting everything about Jagged Alliance, including posts by the great fans who programmed v1.13, well that's got a new website. So I'm going to post this here for you to be able to research things. The Bear Pit had tons of tips, mods, discussions, and workarounds. Most of that is still on the new site and the fans there are veterans and even knowledgeable modders and some are the people who made v1.13. In fact, several of them post regularly, and they are in charge of the continuing updates - which are actually quite interesting and packed with some more features. Now, I have not checked out the new v1.13 Dev Builds myself.

I'm going to try and finish my current game before i did that. But the latest builds are from Summer/Fall 2017, and there have been some interesting additions/updates.First here is the link to the Bear Pit - always was the number one resource for Jagged Alliance anything:If you scroll down, you will see a heading for Download Repositories. The one for Depri's Builds and Packages has the v1.13 Dev Build updates.Farther down you'll find lots of good forums. In the interim, I'd suggest looking over, for example, the Modding HQ 1.13 Area. @ LazarenNP, glad to see you still check out these forums.

I was surprised to find out about it. Probably the auxiliary files can sometimes make an upgrade from the v1.13 7609 build to these later Dev builds a bit problematic - something about changing some of the.ini files to.xml and so on - more than even before, and because some settings are not where they used to be or in the same.ini files etc. Thus my caution. Plus there seems to be a slight chance of more issues with starting the game or graphics, but also maybe more resolutions, dunno. Don't have time to check it out much more today. But glad you saw the post. Most of the issues seem to be able to be solved, but still. Also on Mac OS or Linux or Windows 10 seems a bit less easy than maybe it was before.
